I can't remember if I did have a similar idea beforehand since I had thought of it with non-Pokemon characters or if I saw your prompt and thought it would work well with Maylene.
If I had wrote it I'd probably leave the ending less ambiguous because I like the thought of a character's innocence or naivete getting taken advantage of to a certain point and when they finally start to feel uncomfortable it's either too late for things to stop or the trickster takes more of an active measure to make sure they can fully satisfy themselves.
