>>20685371Well I can't find an actual statement, but after reading around a bit, particularly this:
http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/3DS/Pokemon+X+%2F+Pokemon+Y/news.asp?c=53868>JM: [Pats Yoshida on the back] Even when [Yoshida] goes to an aquarium or a zoo he probably can't have a good time there as he's always looking and trying to find ideas.>HY: Even if you take a frog as inspiration, you can create Froakie or Croagunk for example. There are a variety of different ideas for pokemon that can be created from just one species.-I'd say you're probably right about it being Yoshida. Of course, we don't really know for certain yet
(as it hasn't been directly stated anywhere, at least not as far as I can tell), especially considering that there were at least 20 designers on the team. Yoshida, being the lead designer, apparently got the final say in each design, and frogs are also one of his favorite animals. So even if he isn't behind the final designs of the line, he probably influenced them more than anyone else.
Anyway, I'ma go to sleep now, you have good night. Also, sorry for the non sequitur, not feeling very well at the moment.
