Specially when you avoid the actual story and shove thing that wasn't even in the show.Think about projecting here. Serena's character arc was very well-written. Her whole story was about finding a greater purpose for herself. She went from a girl with no real interests who was forced to train as a Ryhorn racer to a skilled performer and most likely a coordinator too.
