2. It was blatant bullshit given they've just been copypasting dex entries for old shit for years anyways.
3. XY and SM both had significantly more content than SWSH, and the former had the monumental task of modeling ALL of them from scratch during its development.
It's fine if you prefer pre-bank metas, but there's many of us who like playing national dex. There's a very large audience for it and none of the excuses given for cutting Pokemon, especially meta reasons, hold up under scrutiny.
