I didn't like the way Goodra was handled. Here is what I would change:
- a few more short training scenes with goomy, implying more offscreen training
- save the salamence filler until after goomy evolves. then wiggly defends against it while sliggoo attacks it. the fast evo would be at least somewhat believable if it fought a wild dragon, and it plays into it overcoming its fear of fairies.
- instead of ice beam out of fucking nowhere, have it learn iron tail from watching pikachu. it would actually do some damage to florges, and plays on its mixed attack stats and relationship with pikachu. then later on have it learn thunder in the same vain, to go with rain dance.
I think these would have significantly improved Goodra's portrayal.
