So I have been thinking about more how much of a missed opportunity it was that they didn't release Ash-Greninja alongside Serena's Greninja.
Ash-Greninja is very popular and well known and is one of the most badass things Pokemon has produced, and its been disrespected a lot lately.
Here's a concept I had in mind for how Ash-Greninja could've been.
Neo-Champion Serena would have had the Shiny Greninja and it would've been a support like how Calem's currently is.
Instead of Calem, we get Ash and Ash-Greninja. Ash-Greninja would be a Special Striker.
Some moves I concepted are as follows:
>Water Shuriken
Works exactly like how the current Serena's Greninja's Water shuriken does, but does a little more damage.
>Cut
A powerful physical normal attack that hits a single target and never misses.
>Double Team
Works like how the current Shiny Greninja's Double Team works, but gives more speed and evasion and heals Ash-Greninja more.
>"Let-z Go!" or, "Iku-Z!"
A self-buff that grants Ash and Greninja insane speed and damage and will be the move that transforms Greninja into Ash-Greninja. This will make their damage strong enough to nearly one-shot any enemy, but can only be used once and only affects Ash. This is partially based off how Ash-Greninja was so powerful that it almost destroyed Diantha's Mega Gardevoir, if he didn't pass out.
>Sync Move: Bond Phenomenon Water Shuriken
Ash-Greninja's Sync Move is none other than the big golden Water Shuriken he summoned against Alain in the Kalos League Finals. Imagine if something like that actually hit? This is a guaranteed one-shot if it connects, but comes at the cost of 50% of Ash and Greninja's current health. This can only be used if Ash has transformed Greninja into Ash-Greninja using "Iku-Z!"/"Let-z Go!"
I haven't designed the grid yet, but I was thinking that some of the grid could be used to power up his Water Shuriken and Cut, and maybe something that guarantees a set amount of dodges from Double Team.
