>>50976750BW: I really liked BW as well when I first read it, but it has the major detraction of ending on a big cliffhanger, and this cliffhanger leads into B2W2, which I would say is tied with Emerald for the worst arc in the entire series, which also suffered from hiatus hell for nearly 5 and a half years leaving the cliffhanger ending unresolved for that whole time. I honestly think this cliffhanger killed my interest in the series for a good while, and I never had the same enthusiasm afterwards. It's over now at least.
B2W2: It's really bad, and I feel like the author started phoning it in at the end because he got tired of writing it due to the situation he was in. To give him credit the hiatus wasn't entirely his fault, but removed from that context its just a bad story. The main characters are also extremely unlikeable, don't fall for the psyop memes surrounding the male MC.
XY: I started speedreading at this point, and I couldn't bring myself to care about XY all that much. I also feel like it gets into the action way too fast, but I need to re-read it to give it a fair judgement.
ORAS: My first impression of this arc was just "why is this a thing". It honestly feels like the relationship between the two main characters actually regresses from where it was in RS (there is some closure given towards the end at least). The only good thing about it is the cameo from Red and Blue, my favourite couple (but don't worry about shipping autism).
SM: I was speedreading through this as well, and it just felt super rushed. Need to read it again to give it a fair review.
SWSH: Haven't bothered to read this yet.
Anyway sorry for blogposting, I love this series but I'm never able to discuss it anywhere. I'm disappointed in how jaded I've become, but I do feel like the series is starting to decline (they have been at it for more than 20 years now to be fair). I really need to reread it
