There was this specific biweekly magazine about Pokémon in Brazil called Pokémon Club and I still have the issue that "revealed" exactly that mons of the 1999/9 spot including Cyndaquil which was called Hinoarashi. Crazy to think I'm not even 30 years old and information went from having to be printed on thousands of pages and distributed through a whole country which you had to leave your house and pay to have a printed page just for yourself to read the information about the new Pokémon many days after it's official reveal, to having instant access to videos of new Pokémon 1 minute after it's released, wherever I may be.
