dynamax is great, has a great sense of scale and presentation. I dynamaxed whenever possible just to see the animations and finish the gym leaders off with a bang, even the red hues and gay chromatic aberration were cool. but it honestly shits on the rest of the game, regular battles/attacks are just as slow even though the pokemon are normal sized, and none of the other animations are anywhere near as cool.
dynamaxing is what I wished regular battles were like, big pokemon blasting the shit out of each other with comets and lasers and other over the top shit
