I can also tolerate Farigiraf, Wo-Chien, Ting-Lu, Great Tusk, Arboliva/Dolliv, and Tinkaton and Greavard

But I don't like any of these enough for them to even be in my top 100, and would take a bad pokemon from almost any other generation over a single one from this gen any day. I dislike or am very neutral on the entire rest of the dex.

you have highly-detailed character and pokemon models on n64-tier grass next to blurry walls and waterfalls
add to that the fact that there's a very blatant and strong stylistic shift in SV specifically to move towards a more pixar-esque style with more rounded eyes on characters, even rounder proportions, less discrimination based on gender (unfortunately)

I have no idea how you're still getting that "pokemon" vibe from BDSP specifically. LGPE at least has its models stylized somewhat like official art, as does PLA (though I think it doesn't capture that "vibe" as well due to the graphics looking so dogshit that the official art's detail is hard to make out on the models), but BDSP is just really really shitty copy-pasting of stretched graphics that make the eyes look WAY too big and massacre even the """chibi""" sprites of the original.

typically yeah
mostly stuff from gens 2-5 because I prefer that era to all the others (gen 2's chiptunes are peak, but gen 3 trumpets and sinnoh's pianos give it a run for their money while gen 5 simply grants nostalgia). too lazy to try remixes because I don't want to shit up my recommended with them and a lot of the appeal for me is the chiptunes in the first place
some good stuff in gens 6+ but I feel they're lacking even in comparison to gen 1 honestly
