Blaziken is cool with me, and I guess it's one of my favorite Pokemon, but I do see where the complaints come from.
Its fandom is absolute shit though, as I can barely find decent Blaziken artwork on the internet, without being bombarded with furfaggot artwork, overemphasizing its chest (if female) or muscles (if male).
A complaint I agree with many people though is Blaziken's erm.. crotch feathers. That's the only part of its design that I do not agree with. Everything else is pretty cool with me, and it actually does remind me of a Shamo bird, as seen with
>>12407640. It also reminds me of a Muay Thai Fighter, as it was intended to do, which is a positive in my book.
I do think, /vp/ over-exaggerates the popularity of Blaziken though. He's not the Gen 3 equivalent of Charizard, because in that gen, many fans of Gen 3 are split on opinions on who's their favorite starter, with some polls even winning out in Swampert or Sceptile's favor, as opposed to the overall consensus of Gen 1 fans, who revere Charizard as the greatest, while only a handful of Gen 1 fans prefer Blastoise or Venusaur over it.
In addition to this, Speed Boost Blaziken isn't the best Pokemon out there, as the top notch Uber Pokemon cripple it easily. In fact, I guess I'll be bold and say he's not much of a threat anymore in BW2's environment as opposed to BW1. The power creep keeps coming, and it's only a matter of time before SB Blaziken will just be another OU Pokemon to deal with.
