In other words, more normies gave a fuck about a rehash than ever cared about spin-off games. Shit the only proper spin-off to get normie approval was the mobileshit game where they transplanted the basic gameplay of the core games to mobiles. Everything else got ignored.
Seems to me the world likes Game Freak's Pokémon games 9or those that stick VERY closely to their basic gameplay), the rest gets treated like the plastic pocket money shite TPC sells and gets left for kids to cry for.
