>>37091541I was a baby whose first Pokemon game was Fire Red. I only knew gen 1 Pokemon at the time, and seeing Johto mons on the Sevii Islands was a huge shock. Getting to the trainer tower on Seven Island was even more ridiculous, because there's a trainer that always has a shiny Espeon. I had never seen an Espeon let alone a shiny, and thought it was some kind of rare grass type Eeveelution. Needless to say I was disappointed when my four fire moves Charizard didn't kill it.
