But now that you bring that up, I'm surprised that pokemon aren't shown to have characteristics of the father beyond egg moves. Super sized Skittys are one thing but I think baby pokemon should possibly have different colorations if the father is not of the same species, for example, a Skitty having some blue spots in its fur or something from the Wailord father.
