Despite all the misinformation spread about Johto, Victory Road has Pokémon in the mid 30s, some even reaching the 40s, so you do in fact have lots of opportunities to grind for the League, should you wish to, though you really don't need to at this point. The fact that the Elite Four progresses from the low 40s to Level 48 means you can repeatedly take them on with Pokémon even in the mid 30s to get them up to speed, and the later E4 members will provide adequate EXP for any higher levelled members in your party. You can get into the mid 40s just from taking on the Elite Four a few times.
Overall, the level curve of Johto, while not perfect, is vastly overblown and really does not take away from the experience, though I don't expect Johto detractors to have done any more research than just looking up the Gym Leader teams on Serebii and immediately jumping on the hate bandwagon.
>noo my autism means i have to be fully evolved as soon as possible!!
Not an argument.
>noo my autism means i cant grind!! the whole game is ruined!!
Not an argument. This wasn't fixed until Gen 6. Every Pokémon game from Gens 1-5 requires you to grind. Johto isn't even the worst offender in this regard, Sinnoh is, because the last Gym jumps from Level 50 to the Champion who is Level 66, compared to Johto's 40 with Clair to 50 with Lance.
>noo higher level = higher difficulty!!
No. Difficulty is relative. Re-read what I wrote, carefully.
