>>45629981Because Zinnia's actions and behavior are fucking deplorable, but the story pushes her as the din-do-nuffin' hero who's just too special and everyone else just can't understand her. The narrative dissonance between her breaking into people's homes to beat up their children and steal their mega stones and the story sweeping it under the rug to focus on "muh Aster" or how sad Zinnia feels because no one's understanding her reasons for smashing the remote, which was keep in mind the ONLY solution that would've worked had you not pulled a magic meteorite out of your ass. She commits horrible crimes, almost gets the planet destroyed not once but TWICE (because in ORAS she's also the one who instigates the main plot of the game, because she's a cunt), and more, all for the sake of being the special kid who wants to ride the magical dragon.
And, in ORAS at least, she gets away with everything. No one ever lifts a finger to do more than complain at her, everyone against her 'comes around' in the end to say 'yeah she was right', she has no repercussions for assaulting the MC or their friends or destroying the device that'd have saved the world, and she's never seen again. She reeks of a fucking Mary Sue character who's poorly written.
Which is why my favorite scene from the Manga is when she tries to win Rayquaza's favor only for all of her horrible actions to be taken to their logical conclusion because, as it turns out, Fug doesn't really like her at all.
