Breaking the flow of a chapter is terrible, especially if it creates an unjustifiable barrier within the action. Reads similar to a bad film where the scenes jump at an inappropriate time. To combat this I combined two chapters, and the result is still somehow under a manageable 12k words. What devilish trickery is this? Anyway it's further content for the next thread.
