Holy fugg that was close to being a run ender.
First two mons were Venomoth/Grumpig. Grumpig however gets Dancer in this. Venomoth gets Revel Dance which is fire type.
Turn 1, I fake out on veno and skill swap. Turn 2 veno is loafing around so I thief Grumpig and cosmic power on dreidel. Grumpig lives with a sliver of hp and eats a +SpD berry.
Turn 3 I protect on Shiftry, venomoth Revel Dances, grumpig hits protect, and Dancer procs and Grumpig also gets to Revel Dance. The protect on shiftry eats both (!) and I hit another cosmic power on dreidel.
Turn 4 I swap out of shiftry into Swampert. Swampert eats 2 revel dances and the gym leader burns Grumpig's turn on a hyper potion. Cosmic power 3 on Dreidel.
Turn 5 I protect with Dreidel and earthquake with Swampert. Both mons go down. Replaced by Solrock and Girafarig.
Girafarig gets a crazy ability called Opposite Day which implements inverted type rules on entry. FUCK. Turn 6 I protect on Swampert and shadow ball Girafarig for less than 1/4 HP. Dreidel eats 2 super effective moves, a psychic and a stone edge, with 3/4 hp remaining due to the 3 cosmic powers. Phew.
Turn 7 I protect on Dreidel and earthquake. Swampert eats 2 neutral hits with >1/2 hp remaining. OHKOs both of the other mons.
Lunatone comes out, last mon. Easily dispatched.
Could have easily been a run ender, though. God damn that was crazy.
