It's pretty sad on the whole, really.
At first it was a pretty cool idea, having everyone's input cause a clusterfuck. I was there a bit for the first few days, and say it got to a point where Red really needed to get into the pokemon centre, you would see a tiny increase in the amount of same directional keys used. No one could really communicate but we all wanted to see him get where he needed to go. When START was pressed and the mouse hovered over the pokedex entries it was frustrating; over the actual pokemon and it was nerve-wracking. All the while it was fun because no one had any real control over what was happening.
But then we got
>OK GUYS THIS IS THE LE PLAN WE PUT THIS ONE IN THE DAYCARE SO HE CANT GET HURT IVE CALCULATED WE ONLY NEED TWO CUT USES WE CAN DO IT
>Anarchy vs democracy ohhhh le XD which one is better
>Oh no le trolls released the pokemon oh nooooo
>(Script kiddies trying to sabotage or suck the fun out of the game)
>LE HELIX FOSSIL
>LE ALL HAIL HELIX FOSSIL
>LE HELIX FOSSIL REAL LIFE
So now it is no longer fun. It was great at first, but fell into shit.
Sure the kids want to feel like theyre pulling off a community effort, but there way of going about it is just not fun. It should be treated as if everyone is working 'telepathically' almost, not with actual plans.
