When considering future organizational structures, it's important to understand past failures and the significance of organizational design.
To avoid deciding on an organization without much thought, let's summarize it here.
● Organizational Structure up to XY
At GF, we primarily divided our work into job types, commonly referred to as a "functional organization."
The advantage of a functional organization is that it facilitates content sharing and research when each function is highly specialized.
For companies whose technology changes dramatically over time, this is a major advantage in keeping up with that technology.
On the other hand, the disadvantage is that it creates sectionalism within each function,
which ultimately requires the decision-maker who ultimately integrates the functions to have a grasp of all functions.
This also creates the disadvantage that, without talented staff, the organization cannot be unified.
In managing a project spanning three years, this organizational design offered many benefits for the Pokémon project, such as sharing research results for each function and allowing the SD to freely lend and borrow personnel for each function.
