Here are the facts, /vp/oreons.
>Black and White and Black and White 2 come out between 2010 and 2012
>Relatively little innovation, still mostly 2D with roughly animated sprites which are just reworked sprites from 4th Gen games.
>Literally one year later release a fully 3D game, which, while rough on the edges, was a huge step forward for them in terms of technology.
>721+ unique Pokemon models with not a single one using the same skeletons. They have their own idle, battle, and PokemonAmie animations, not to mention the animations for attacks.
>Between 2016 and 2017 create a new generation with around 81 new models, plus new attack animations. Old models and textures from 2013 are still in use.
>2018, the release of Pokemon LGPE comes and we get two new models and new textures for the original 151 Pokemon, plus Megas, that go on the original 2013 models.
>2019. The game footage releases and we see they are using new textures for the same models from 2013. We get confirmation that they are doing new Pokemon, as well as the fact that we will be able to bring Pokemon to Sword and Shield through home.
>Despite the assets already being available and ready for retexturing, it is somehow too time-consuming for them to integrate all the Pokemon into the new games.
How the fuck is that even a valid excuse. How is it that this is too daunting of a task when in between 2010 and 2012 you were able to make a completely new 3D world with over 721 unique models and with multiple unique animations. But somehow, in their feeble minds, they cannot retexture existing assets that they've been using for 6 years across 9 different games.
This is truly the worst timeline.
