The absolute truth, the Ashime dub was in better hands with 4Kids than it was with TPCI, despite its flaws as TPCI did all the same stupid things but on a cheaper lower budget with worse vocal direction, VA performances, less Japanese music kept, and the script for Team Rocket was genuinely better + wittier for Ash + co despite the rewrites at times.
They actually gave a shit about making it feel like more than an ad- like an actual show with effort put into it, TPCI only treats it as the 22 min ad it's supposed to be alone.
