Water-Dark is a good typing with some good resistances especially for this gen (to ghost, dark, ice and water that will help him set up thanks to his respectable bulk). And unlike Bisharp, he has a reliable 135bp fighting move.
These 2 are subhumans who can't think for themselves, so they'll flowchart to "steel = good to not be sfma this meta" independently of how the meta will shape up. Same reason why they're so proud of knowing some terms.
