Trying to translate chiptunes into flutes and electric guitars, but played over the shitty GBA speaker was just bad. The RBY soundtrack worked on Gameboy, because it sounded clean, and your imagination can fill in the gaps in the music easier if it's not trying to imitate real instruments.
