For the fun of it, I tried making a list of what music our characters like, or what genre would suit them. I had to guess for a lot of them, so hopefully it's not totally inaccurate.

>>58060217There would definitely be some deaths, but you can take precautions to make it safer, like working in pairs/teams, packing Reviver Seeds and Escape Orbs, and avoiding dungeons that are above your skill level. I don't think deaths would be particularly common (admittedly, I generally don't like edgy stuff in PMD, so it may be my bias talking).
