>>47623715morimoto:For starters “pocket monsters” is my first job both as programer and as graphics(laughs).
Tajiri: Even in the battle scenes between creatures, which have a strong tactile feel, there are actually a lot of numbers that are managed by the program that you can't see, and they were bursting out of my head because I couldn't manage
them.It was as if I was acting as a blackguard, which helped me a lot.
Nishino:Its also the first time I worked on something like this. I think I just did it because I felt like it, or maybe I was made to do it.
Watanabe:Because no one else wanted to(laughs)
Tajiri:At first it felt like these people were here to give me a hand, but now I couldn't balance things without them.
Ohta:One day, Nishino took a break, so that day we practically couldn't work on the main program. The entire info was on that man's head.
Morimoto:In terms of RPGs, Nishino was usually the one who did the most work in the company, so he had his own particular way of managing data.
Tajiri:Every one in the staff had their own particular obession, so as director it was troublesome to coordinate everyone's(laugh). As the final product has the charm of different games, I'd say we got to a good result. For instance, there's the slot machine minigame, that's watanabe's role, when he got in the staff, he said “I play a lot of pachinko”.
Watanabe:Don't say it like that(laughs)
Tajiri:I didn't plan for that kind of result in my own staff work, but I think we were able to share the parts that each of us wanted to focus on.
