Yeah, it's following a popular formula but he's doing the types of challenges nobody wants to do and his solutions tend to be interesting or fun, check out the Abra one for a good example. He also prefers to stay to as few battles as possible and doesn't like using items in battle and does shit like see if he can beat the entire E4 in a row without saving consistently. Stuff like that elevates this dude from just your run of the mill Pokechallengetuber.
Also his Gen Catch em All videos are pretty solid as guides for if you want to actually complete the National Dex by yourself in any given Gen.
