Because of a stupid explosive Forretress and a Lanturn that lived with 3 HP and used flail.
Clair got, sadly, screwed up by the randomizer. Her team was: Omastar, Zubat, Victreebel and Steelix.
My rival also got a shitty team, but the battle was actually intense. Easy, but I almost lose my Meganium. His team was: Ekans, Natu, Machamp, Tyranitar and Nidoqueen.
Now, I'm ready to face the E4, but I need the sixth member of my team. Everything is randomized, so I don't know what to expect. The pokemon on the box are:
