You should learn from the story of Little Mac in Smash. The devs listened to the terrible players and absolutely gutted Little Mac in Smash 4, and he's been a bottom 5 character ever since. He was never overpowered, he just stomped scrubs. If the devs listened only to the pro players, the shitters would've gotten used to Little Mac and he would've escaped with no nerfs.
