>>53126351>>53122083Op, one of my pet peeves about johto is the ruins of alph puzzle being all buildup with no payoff since you have ruins that are thousands years old, messages left for future generations about some sort of catastrophe or migration (Our words shall remain here for the ages ; Thus we shall erect a Pokémon statue outside ; They possess great insight and refuse the outside world ; We humans must learn to walk in harmony with them. We depart for their sakes), a legendary pokemon that was alive at the time the ruins were made and has to be caught in order to see the final message (Ho-oh), and a region specific mythical pokemon that just happens to have time travelling powers (Celebi).
All of the above practically begs for the game to end with the player going back in time and witness the history that made johto what it is, maybe even prevent some kind of past injustice.
