I honestly hope the Kalos League is a lot like Hoenn where there are a shitload of battles which allow Ash to use a bunch of Pokemon from his past.
To be exact, the Hoenn League had a 1v1 Preliminary round, 3 2v2 battles, and 5 (Ash battled in 3) 6v6 battles. In total, that allows Ash to use 37 Pokemon and if he has a 7 Pokemon team like he usually does by the League, he'll have 40 Pokemon to bring the heat.
I think he should bring: Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Heracross, Snorlax, Noctowl, Donphan, Bayleef, Corphish, Sceptile, Swellow, Glalie, Torterra, Gliscor, Buizel, Infernape, Krookodile, Leavanny, Squirtle, Gible, Snivy, Kingler, and Muk. The rest of his Kalos team will be Lucario, Noivern, Gogoat, and Aegislash
That's 29 Pokemon out of his inevitable 40 and he'll be using a ton of fan favorite Pokemon. The Kalos League, if done right, will be the best one yet.
