The Stantler I purified was Modest, so I taught it Thunder to give my team much-needed coverage. Hypnosis, as a reliable means of putting Shadow Pokémon to sleep, was invaluable throughout the rest of the game; and STAB Bodycheck/Return dealt physical damage to anything my Modest Espeon couldn't OHKO. No need to mention that Intimidate was incredibly useful, too.
