>>22777020The tie was randomized."AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" you yell abruptly for no reason at all other than to grab attention and make wacky sounds.
You return to the battleground by making a sudden entrance. Not by using any doors or climbing through the Calem-shaped hole in the wall, but by making a second, completely *identical* Calem-shaped hole right next to the old one.
"NOW WHAT WAS THIS I HEARD ABOUT BULLSHIT COUNTERS?"
You arrive just in time to see Odie lunging at the King again, this time with Power-Up Punch. Either he heard about the effects of Counter-Counter, and simply doesn't care, or he just wasn't listening whatsoever. Smart money says either choice is possible.
Regardless, you were able to overhear and get the gist of how the Body works, so you know right off the bat that punching is the last thing that Odysseus wants to be doing right now, despite how much that scowl on his face wants to.
As for the King, it manages to shapeshift before Odie can land the punch on it, abandoning its BANEstiodon form of a Cloyster form.--a Pokemon with even higher Defense stats than the walking castle-face. You have to see it to believe it.
"CHESSSSSSSSSSSS!"
"I know it's petty, but you should use Clamp!"
[Kohhhhhh....KA!]
Just as Power-Up Punch is going to slam the King right in the pearl, Odie is denied. Mere inches from connecting the hit, the King uses Clamp and slams down on his fist, trapping him in place.
"N-Naauauuuuggghh!..."
"Gah! Odie! Your punching arm! Stay there, I'm on my way!"
"Give this petty hothead a Blizzard."
