For example, I don't think we could get away with something like this happening in the anime (Manga probably if not absolutely), because its too close to reality, even without blood, its just a little much for what they would consider "G" rated content. Its why in the anime, they coat of attacks in little auras, lights, explosions, and effect shots rather than actively showing the impacts.
