I wasn't a sports kid so I had to cling to that music. At the time middle school bands that were popular were Jet, The Stokes, Linkin Park and then various rap acts like Chingy, 50 Cent and Ludacris. I hated it initially but my best friend at the time (who fucking break danced at middle school dances, instant cool kid status) introduced me to the other bay area artists which ended up being popular in high school.
But enough of my life story nobody cares.
