We went up north to a friend's cabin for Christmas, and had just finished our first battle when we decided to go out on the frozen lake and smoke a bowl in a fucking snowstorm.
For whatever reason my friend still had his DS in his back pocket, and the snow was about three feet deep out on the lake. We found a big rock formation sticking out of the snow and huddled behind it and smoked under our coats. Then we trudged back inside, but it was so windy and the blizzard was so intense that we all kept falling over plenty of times before we made it back (not to mention we were all drunk).
When we got inside my friend realized his DS was gone, and we tried to go find it, but there was just no fucking way.
This past summer we went back up to Dave's cabin, waded out to the rock formation where we blazed that fateful bowl, and sitting there under the water was his DS, half-covered in sand. Poor guy hasn't had the heart to buy a Pokemon game since, although he does still play SoulSilver religiously.
