>>RubyStarting with Ruby i decided to go with Mudkip since he seems to be the safest bet and has the one i havent used anywhere near recently, and he rolls Sassy which will work, Once pokedex and balls are in hand, The first encounter is zigzagoon on route 101 and Poocheyna on 102, Poochyena has a brave nature while poochyena gets Sassy which really dosnt help it, on route 103 I was hoping for either seedot or surskit, When i went through the game the first time like 15 years ago i really liked both of their designs but just haven't used either since, even if sirskit wasn't necessarily good i really was hoping for that 1% encounter, well instead the actually encounter i got was ralts which i couldnt even believe since usually it takes me 20 minutes to find one, after ralts was caught i started heading over to pettleburg and on the 3rd trainer with the poochyena the trainer kept howling while i zigzagoon couldn't put enough damage down, i decided that poochyena was the one that was the lowest on the totem pole and managed too get a bit of damage in before getting 2 shot, after that trainer things went fantastic for the rest of the session, the next encounters were Wurmple, Shroomish, Tailow and whismur. I was actually excited for wurmple and was hoping for Silcoon with the luck i was having with ralts and shroomish however it did end up evolving into cascoon, after grinding up a tiny bit before getting bored and realizing it would just be better to grind before the next gym I used Shroomish and mudkip to walk over the gym and got the 1st gym badge. at this point its midnight and its just occurring to me what im trying to do
