Indulge me, I'm not sure it's correct but it kinda sounds right, If someone with more expertise wants to chime in and correct where needed then so be it, but no need to get rude if it sounds stupid or weird to you.
But I theorize that Missingno isn't a "Missing Pokémon" with half-written code that the game tries to make sense of, but rather because the game runs on "Spaghetti Coding" where if you change even one line of code, it can shit itself or because it's effectively made from math and changing the numbers around causes glitches or worse - crashes, that I suggest Missingno isn't called out from the code, but rather that code exists to duplicate Pokémon and Items, it can create from other code, it can duplicate code, you've witnessed that, right? What if Missingno; by the game's design, is actually created in that moment, that the game is built out of math similarily to Minecraft, sure the 1's and 0's say the Block exists, but what you choose to build with the black is YOUR creation.
What if Missingno doesn't exist at ALL even as data and is instead brought into the game for the first time as code by the player and you're modifying stats and assets and CREATING Missingno in that moment. If I'm wrong then there should be a way to checking all existing Pokémon that can be modified with an editor of some sort and it should list every Missingno you can encounter, shouldn't be that hard to prove on a technical level that I'm wrong if I am wrong.
