I cannot think of a single living species that would curl its tail to improve locomotion. The tail is supposed to be a balancing tool extended from the body in motion or can act as a steering agent, but when curved down like that, it does nothing on land.
I'll give it the biggest stretch of tolerance that it MIGHT act like a rudder in water. That's it.
