i have no idea why people ship it
it doesn't help that i never really liked green's character, when he's not being arrogant he's just being kind of boring
idk if "pesky woman" means something in a japanese context but it makes me feel like he actively dislikes her
i also dont see any attraction from blue either
they dont really interact in any meaningful way other than blue does something and green calls her annoying. at the end of gsc he literally tries to arrest silver while blue begs him not to, and only stops cause gold gets silver off on a technicality of the wanted poster being different (again, based gold always there for his friends). every other time they meet it feels like strictly business, and green basically stops showing up with red and blue past emerald, he shows up alone in kalos which is like a decade timegap from oras
i can understand why people ship specialshipping at least, and i would be a bit disappointed if it actually became canon (dont think it ever will kek, yellow fell off after emerald), but i wouldnt complain too much
i literally have no idea why people like oldrival so much though, i feel like its the factory default setting for people to ship specialshipping cause its extremely obvious that yellow likes red, so red must like her too, and we have blue and green left over, so lets just put them together
meanwhile red is always blushing around blue, helped her out in her life a lot, gets really angry when blue gets hurt in frlg, blue goes to comfort him when he breaks down in frlg, and red and blue literally show up in oras with matching mega (wedding) rings. there are more moments that i could probably find as well
i'm open to hearing other opinions though
i had a good picture of gold and silver from the same artist as my other picture but i cant find it right now, so i'll send this instead
