>>53761052Venusaur is one of the best toxic stallers in the game for when you want to cheese out an Elite 4 battle, so they are pretty perennial. Blastoise is still great on the whole- defense up all, gauge acceleration with +1 speed and +1 critical hit add-ons, status/trap self-cure, endure for whole party after sync move- but cannot heal or actively raise attack stats, so your striker or other support will have to fill in for that. Blue is the usual suggestion for your free pick, but in my experience is also the most frequently returning of three, being the water type in the occasional multi-type scouts.
