I'll probably replay my favourite games forever as they are a source of relaxation and nostalgia, a reliable place of familiarity I can return to at any point in my life.
>>55288578I liked this take. As the years roll past, I am struck by the marginalisation of tried and true skills in lieu of fads. Already some things have deteriorated to the point where, if the world blew up and only a small population were alive, none of them could replicate certain things and they would be without. If you talk to people outside of the internet, usually you find they have some kind of traditional hobby. For my part, I wish to keep handwriting alive, so I dig writing postcards or letters by hand. I even bought a damn fountain pen, after ignoring them for a while - turns out it feels smoother to write with and is less wasteful. I also read books on my haxxed Kobo. I value repairing rather than replacing, so I practice those skills, and supporting local people rather than outsourced labor cheap junk.
