My first shiny caught in a friend's safari. Gears is an awesome bro too, he's top tier design and one of my favorite gen 5 pokemon! I was really stoked, he was the first pokemon that showed up. And I was really excited since I've been playing since gen 1 and my first shiny was awesome.
