>>57216570IMO the DS gens aged the best, they still retain the sort of early Pokemon charm (no doubt owed to the sprites) but aren't too old that they feel dated.
Pretty much all the qol life stuff they added in the more modern games I could go without, yes it makes raising your team easier, but some of the fun comes from the difficulty in attaining your perfect team imo.
My only issue with them is that somehow we STILL don't have rom hacks letting me play infinite unique Gen4/5 games.
