>Gen 1
Thoroughly enjoyed by me even today, but they are way too dated and lack too many QoL improvements
>Gen 2
Easily my most replayed region, and although it did add many QoL changes, it still feels very dated
>Gen 3
I like it, but I can't bring myself to play it again for some reason. It's just okay. The gen 1 remakes are okay but they also feel dated due to the lack of physical/special split and the fact that it sticks too much to its roots by not allowing things like Golbat evolve.
>Gen 4
Probably my favorite gen overall, with Platinum being top comfy for me. Soundtrack, dex, difficulty, everything is perfect IMO. Gen 2 remakes are also great, even if they still limit your Pokemon choices by making the stones/level-up items post-game.
>Gen 5
Pretty solid gen overall, I don't have too much to complain about it. I'd have to say its the most enjoyable gen to play due to all the QoL changes and how most mons are usable due to movepools fixes as well as unlimited TMs.
>Gen 6
If Gen 4 and 5 were the peak, gen 6 starts the decline. I still enjoyed it and thought it was good, but the lack of third game is felt heavily. Good for nuzlockes though due to all the variety. ORAS remakes are the epitome of "meh," and should've been based off the clearly superior Emerald, who I still consider the definitive best way to enjoy Hoenn.
>Gen 7
I'm just starting to play it, too hand-holdy and too many cutscenes, but seems enjoyable thus far.
>Let's Go
I couldn't bring myself to finish them, what an utter waste of resources. I cannot believe they would only include the first 150 Pokemon. Had they at least included cross-gen evolutions and not made it as child-friendly I could have at least gotten through it. I wish I could get a refund.
