There's several fanbases for vidya that go through this type of predicament every year. Pokemon actually has one of the lighter cases, because there's always a game coming out that either fixes or creates said issues nearly yearly. I can only suggest you guys either hang on or find something else to do, because at the very least there's a guarantee that there will eventually be a fix.
