Consider: I have a level 9 metapod
If I bring it with me into the restaurant battle with a lucky egg and exp O-POWER, its likely to gain over 10k exp per battle, easily leveling it many times.
Therefore, since butterfree learns stun spore at level 12, if my metapod reaches level 13 in the battle (ie he doesnt have a chance to evolve), will I end up with a lvl13 butterfree WHO DIDNT LEARN STUNSPORE.
Now I know in this instance I could use a heartscale to get the move back, I just want to be clear on the mechanics so I dont fuck myself over in some way.
