I became a firm believer when people pointed out how Sylveon's name in every country related to fairies in some way. I can understand if people just believed it wasn't going to be called fairy, but I give no fucks for the people that thought there wouldn't be a new type and Sylveon was going to be flying or bug. Its an eeveelution, their thing is being a monotype with an easily identifiable look, and it was a perfect platform to show off a new type.
