That doesn't change the fact that the reason behind XY discussion here in padt is that the thread has been hijacked by PM subs to use it as a "glorified" ad. It is a fact that all series were discussed equally before this "people" and their leader, Adamant, acquired control over the thread. Pic related is a post on /qa/ that exposes their tactics through out the years.
Tldr; most xy discussion here is just a dishonest attempt by PM subs and Adamant to pretend their fansub is relevant even when they haven't subbed anything pokemon related in years.
