It's a matter of 2 defense and 4 HP, which may or may not come into play at all. The 2 defense can be important though since I do know there's a shadow claw breakpoint with Feraligatr, but it's largely pointless outside of the 2 shield double bait into EQ matchup. Clod isn't really the kind of pokemon that gets fast moved down all that often.
